An initial step in the Strategic Plan process is a review, or scan, of both the external and internal environments. An external environmental scan helps to identify issues that are likely to influence the direction of the College over the next several years while the internal environmental scan points to current institutional successes and challenges. Together the scan documents help to identify the greatest gaps between where the college is and where it aspires to be.

While information gathering via scanning activities is ongoing, analysis of the information assumes greater institutional focus prior to the start of a new Strategic Planning process. Consequently, in addition to providing the external and internal scan documents, the following links chronicle the development of the scans.
