Dawn Sanders-Jordan

Administrative Assistant

I grew up in the South Philadelphia section of the city, then later became a West Philly transplant by marriage. I have lived there going on ten years now.

Before coming onboard at Community College of Philadelphia, I worked in non-profit for four and a half years. During that time, I was able to see first hand how various job and life-skills training programs can make a continuous difference in the lives of people when coupled with social support services. Some of the people whose lives I have had the opportunity to interact with have reinforced my belief in the paramount role that education plays in personal growth. That is where my great passion for helping people comes into play; especially children. This is also one of the reasons I decided to go back to school to obtain my Bachelors degree in ECE/Elementary Education. My expected date of graduation is 2013, and I look forward to it with great anticipation as the months tick by.

Outside of work, my passions include baking, my family, and my beloved cat.
