Rosemont College Dual Admissions Agreement

Rosemont College’s Undergraduate College (traditional day) and School of Graduate & Professional Studies (part-time/evening) welcome applicants to the Dual Admissions Program in order to facilitate the transfer of students from Community College of Philadelphia to Rosemont College with third- year ( junior) status for the purpose of entering a bachelor’s degree program.

Dual Admissions Eligibility

To be eligible for this program, students must:

  • Submit a dual admissions intent form before earning no more than 45 college level credits from Community College of Philadelphia or any other college/university. Once a student has completed this form, he or she is strongly encouraged to meet with a Rosemont College admissions representative and a Community College of Philadelphia counselor to develop a plan of study.
  • Complete the Rosemont College admissions application and process during their last year before graduating from Community College of Philadelphia
  • Graduate from Community College of Philadelphia with an Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.) or Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in one of the approved programs listed.
  • Achieve a minimum 2.0 cumulative Community College of Philadelphia grade point average (GPA) within an associate’s program of study. Only courses with a grade of C or higher will be eligible for transfer.
  • Enroll directly to Rosemont College within one year of completing an associate degree from Community College of Philadelphia and not attend another institution between graduation and attendance at Rosemont College.

Notes:

  • Students who have previously been matriculated to Rosemont College are not eligible for the Rosemont College dual admissions program.
  • List of approved majors are listed by program; choose from either Rosemont College’s Undergraduate College (UC - traditional daytime program) or the School of Graduate and Professional Studies (SGPS - accelerated evening program).
  • A maximum of 66 credits are eligible for transfer into the UC program and a maximum of 84 credits are eligible for transfer into the SGPS program. Students must complete a minimum of 30 credits at Rosemont College including at least half of the requirements for the major or area of specialization to earn a Rosemont College degree. Comprehensive examinations and/or any special examinations required for licensure and/or certification programs must also be completed at Rosemont College.
  • A minimum 2.0 GPA must be maintained for the credits completed while at Rosemont College.

Advantages of the Dual Admissions program

Students who participate in dual admissions are eligible for the following benefits:

  • Application fee to Rosemont College will be waived.
  • Scholarships and tuition discounts for dual admissions students who enroll full-time (12 or more credits) or part-time with appropriate cumulative Community College of Philadelphia GPA.
  • Informational meetings with Rosemont College staff at Community College of Philadelphia campus/regional centers for assistance in matriculating to Rosemont College.

Undergraduate College (traditional daytime, full-time program)

  • Course structure: Fall & Spring semesters, each approximately 15 weeks; Summer Session of 5 weeks
  • Flat tuition cost for full-time; per credit cost for part-time
  • Full-time and part-time courses available
  • On-campus housing options available for full-time students only
  • Free Online application at www.rosemont.edu

Schools of Graduate & Professional Studies (accelerated evening program)

  • Designed to meet the needs of adult learners; convenient for those employed full-time
  • Course structure: 5 week sessions throughout the year – may start during any session
  • Per credit cost for all courses
  • On-campus housing NOT available
  • Free Online application at www.rosemont.edu

3-Year BS/MBA & BS/MSL Program:

Students graduating with a minimum 3.0 GPA from Community College of Philadelphia’s A.A. in Business or A.A. in Business Administration automatically qualify for entry into the BS/MBA or BS/MSL 3-year program.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

All scholarships and tuition discounts awarded to dual admissions students are renewable at Rosemont College, contingent upon the student maintaining the required cumulative GPA of a 2.0 while attending Rosemont College.  Scholarships to Rosemont College’s Undergraduate College are awarded for fall and spring semesters to full-time students only.  Students who submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) may also be eligible to receive other federal, state and Rosemont College need-based grants as well as other types of financial aid.

Undergraduate College (traditional daytime, full-time program)

Scholarship awards are listed as annual amounts listed below. Full-time enrollment is defined as 12 or more credits per semester.

  • GPA 3.75 to 4.0 = $15,000 per year
  • GPA 3.5 to 3.74 = $13,000 per year
  • GPA 3.25 to 3.49 = $12,000 per year
  • GPA 3.0 to 3.24 = $11,000 per year
  • GPA 2.75 to 2.99 = $10,000 per year
  • GPA 2.5 to 2.74 = $9,000 per year
  • GPA 2.0  to 2.49  = $8,000 per year

Schools of Graduate & Professional Studies (accelerated evening program)

Tuition discounts as listed below:

  • GPA 3.5 to 4.0 = 25% Tuition Discount
  • GPA 3.0 to 3.49 = 20% Tuition Discount
  • GPA 2.5 to 2.99 = 15% Tuition Discount

The following associate degree programs at Community College of Philadelphia are designated as part of the Dual Admissions Agreement for corresponding degree programs at Rosemont College.

Students who have pursued a Community College of Philadelphia associate’s program of study other than those listed and who wish to transfer to Rosemont College may still be considered for admissions on an individual basis and their credits will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis.  These students should apply online at: www.rosemont.edu.
