New Athletic Director is a Familiar Face


Rogers Glispy entered his new job as director of the College’s Athletic Department with the ease of donning a familiar and well-worn pair of running shoes; only in this case, the shoes once belonged to pro-basketball standout Ollie Johnson, Glispy’s boss for the last eight years.

While the ink was barely dry on his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Neumann University, Glispy, 33, was hired as the assistant director of Athletics in 2003. The two first met when Glispy was a star player for Community College of Philadelphia’s basketball team. Later, after Glispy received his associate’s degree and transferred to Neumann, Johnson hired him as a student intern.
