College faculty and employees entertained their peers with a lunchtime talent show on Jan. 10. Head basketball coach Robert "Dondi" DeShields received the 2012 ATHLETE Award from the American Legion Henry Hill Post 385 at the 17th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service celebration at Universal Audenried Charter High School. DeShields is a four-time Pennsylvania Collegiate Athletic Association Coach of the Year and has more than 300 wins in his 12 years at the College.
Philanthropists Kal and Lucille Rudman attended the recent graduation of 15 trainees from the Nurse Aide Training program. More than 1,200 students and employees took part in the Foundation’s inaugural Tuition Gap Day event last year, and the 2012 event will be bigger and better. There will be a number of creative ways for students to give back through the use of QR codes, social media and many other tactics. Please encourage students to log into MyCCP and go to the Tuition Gap Day Scavenger Hunt tab between March 12–23 to find out about the awesome prizes they can win, and the pride they will feel in helping future students meet their academic and career goals.
