CEO of National League for Nursing Congratulates Nursing Program - Dr. Beverly Malone, the chief executive officer of the National League for Nursing, was the keynote speaker Nov. 28 at a student celebration and luncheon that recognized the Department of Nursing as a Center of Excellence. College Foundation Events - An exciting series of annual events are providing an array of opportunities to support students at the College. Nearly 300 students, faculty, staff, volunteers and friends of the College gathered at the entrance to Martin Luther King Drive in October for the 4th Annual Set the Pace to Educate 5K Race, Walk and Pooch ‘n‘ Pal Stroll. Perspective - One of the most difficult challenges faced by all of us in higher education is the rising cost of a college degree, particularly for low- and middle-income students and their families. Failure to address the public’s concerns about college costs will only serve to reduce our ability to produce an educated, highly trained labor force and a well-informed citizenry.
