Community College of Philadelphia and Arcadia University Sign Dual Admissions Agreement

Arcadia University Sign Dual Admissions AgreementPHILADELPHIA, Oct. 25, 2012—Community College of Philadelphia and Arcadia University will sign a Dual Admissions agreement in a ceremony at 1 p.m. on Nov. 2 at Arcadia University’s Grey Towers Castle.

Community College of Philadelphia President Stephen M. Curtis, Ph.D., and Arcadia University President Carl (Tobey) Oxholm III, J.D., will sign an agreement that qualifies dual admission participants from Community College of Philadelphia guaranteed admission to Arcadia University with junior status if they satisfy all admission and eligibility requirements. Students in the new Dual Admission program can either earn an Associate in Arts or an Associate in Science degree. Qualified students are also eligible for academic scholarships.

“Our Dual Admissions program partnerships provide our students with an excellent option to continue their education,” said Dr. Curtis. “The agreements we have with four-year institutions are important because they validate our mission and the excellence of our faculty.”

Dual Admissions programs enable community college students to reserve a place at one of the partnering four-year institutions and work with advisors at those schools while still at Community College of Philadelphia.
