Outstanding graduates of the College's Early Childhood Education (ECE) program were the motivation for a recent endowment gift. The Frankford Day Nursery made a $315,000 donation in recognition of the College's ECE program and its outstanding alumni who are employed in day care centers throughout the city.

This gift has been used to establish the Frankford Day Nursery Early Childhood Education Endowment, which provides annual scholarship awards to students enrolled in the ECE associate's degree program. Preference is given to students with the highest grade point average. The donor wished to provide a reward for academic accomplishments and encourage the continued pursuit of higher education.

To recognize this generous gift to the College, an Early Childhood Education classroom has been named the Frankford Day Nursery Classroom.
