ADVANCED MANUFACTURING
Today’s manufacturing jobs include all types of precision manufacturing and industrial maintenance operations. You could be working on a computer driven plant floor, making industrial components like high-spec castings or large machine parts or complex materials like fiber reinforced plastic or even consumer products like butane lighters.

Advanced Manufacturing courses lead to NIM and AM/IST recognized certification.

AM/IST – Advanced Manufacturing Integrated Systems Technology
In the past decade, new technology used by America’s advanced manufacturing companies created a growing demand for skilled workers who could perform on electrical, mechanical and electronic equipment that was designed as integrated systems.

Now in high-demand, workers with these multi-disciplinary skills are employed in manufacturing environments that use a new approach to machine design called Mechatronics. Basic skills in this field are demonstrated by earning an AM/IST level 1 certificate.

NIM - National Institute of Metalwork Systems
Skills in the metalworking industry are certified by earning credentials from the NIMS. Completing NIMS approved coursework and sitting for the NIMS performance exams are required to earn this credential based on national metalworking standards.

These professional organizations are considered the industry standard for reliability and credibility as established sources of official industry accepted credentials, enabling certificate holders to immediately qualify for any number of openings in manufacturing plant environments throughout the nation.
